If you slap your players with a time limit, you could just as well take all your art, map designs, notes and emails, just grab everything and throw it all into the trash, because you're forcing the players to just rush through in the most efficient way possible. But Mooncrash doesn't let me, because of the rising Corruption level. I want to take my time, reading all the emails, unlocking all the rooms, marvelling at all the vistas, breathing in all the atmospheres. I don't want to rush through Prey/Mooncrash.
That's when Mooncrash turned from being an enjoyable game into tedious work. Turns out I judged Mooncrash a bit too soon, because starting with your second run, you are being slapped with a time limit (called "Corruption"). They are, however radically different in play style, even if they're both set in very much the same. Yes you really should but I don't think it's necessary. You can do that, but you really should play the main Prey campaign through. Can even open straight into MC from Steam. So I decided to purchase Mooncrash after having played through the first run and enjoying it. Nope, you can play Mooncrash at any time.
